Week 3--MTC--DL

This week has gone by pretty fast luckily. The language is coming a little easier now I can bare testimony almost all the way through. Sunday I was called to be district leader and it is a blessing. I love having the chance to serve and lead my district. So we sent off some elders and sisters in our district.
This is me elder Kang he is awesome and as you can tell
we are both weird so we get along well.
I'm going to miss Elder Kang so much its amazing how in such short time you can come so close to people here in the MTC. Same with the Elders in my district we are so close already I feel like I've know them most of my life.

Said goodbye to Elder Bowler sunday it was sad but i know hes going to be a great missionary.
Me and Elder Bowler the day before he left to Georgia
I also got to see Elder Dougherty it was so nice seeing him I feel like haven't seen him in so long but its only been a few weeks haha. I don't think I said this last week but Elder Bednar game and spoke at a devotional two Sundays ago and it was awesome. As soon as he walked you can feel the spirit it just truly is amazing. I talked about the character of Christ and I found some atributes I need to work on.

Today we wen't to the temple and I was reading my patricle blessing in the celestial room and it was like it had changed (I don't think it really has). It seemed so much clearer on my purpose and answered some questions I had. If you can go into the temple and haven't read you're patriarchal bless I challenge you to do it. It helped me out a lot and it feels so good to get a personal revelation.

This is elder Redford this is what he gets for taking pictures on my camera haha

The one on the top is the book of mormon and the one on the bottom is the bible.
The bible is colored so thats pretty cool. Every night I read a page from both

Week 2 MTC--Sleep Talking

This week went by a little faster and was a little less stressful. Prayer is so helpful and so needed especially for me right now. I have never prayed so much in my life! You pray before personal study, campion study, class, and the bathroom... Just kidding about the bathroom one but prayer is so useful it has really helped me through out these few weeks its so comforting wish I prayed more in highschool instead of like 1 time a day.

I love my district they are so awesome! They are like another family! We are always looking out for each other and encourage each other when someone is feeling down. I am so thankful for my district! I love them.

So for the past two weeks all the elders in my room say like every night someone has been speaking korean in their sleep. so one night i went to sleep before all the other elders because they were still writing in their journals and like 15 minutes after being asleep I woke up to them laughing and I thought they did something to me and they said that I said, "kamsamnida" which is thank you in korean. The gift of tongues is true and I feel like ive been blessed with it. I am so thankful for god giving me this gift that I truly need.

Week One

Anyahasayo! Week one was probably the longest week of my life! It has been trying and frustrating. But anyway Ill tell you all about my companion his name is Elder Smoot, he is from farmington Utah. He is awesome he is a great example to me. He has a great testimony of the gospel and knowledge of the gospel too. We taught our first investigator on friday and it was so hard because we didn't really know how to say what we needed. But we prayed about it and taught her our first lesson. Our first lesson was on prayer and it went ok i guess she did pray and felt the spirit but we didnt really know she said that at the time haha. But I found that prayer really does work because we prayed that she would understand what we needed to teach her and she understood we got her to pray, read the Book of Mormon, and go to church. Ive learned alot about myself here in the MTC and one of the things is that before I didn't have faith in Jesus Christ I always relied on myself and learning Korean is really hard and you can't learn it in this amount of time with out faith in God and Jesus Christ. Ill be honest and say the first few days I was thinking "why could I just be called to a English speaking mission." but now i know that if I did go english speaking i wouldn't have the faith in Jesus Christ like I do now and I know that is one of the reasons I am going to Korea.

sorry i didn't really take very many pictures
