Hello everyone!
This week was pretty good not too much stuff happened because we had to plan a Halloween party. Which turned out super well. We had 8 of our investigators come out to it!
We just got bikes! so that's awesome and a lot more convenient.
Also I guess I've lost a lot of weight since I've been here because know all the members come up to me and feel my stomach and are like "Wow! You skinny know! You very handsome." haha so that's good. Also some people show me pictures of their daughters and are "You need to date her. She pretty right?" So that's super weird because I never know what to say other than sorry I'm a missionary haha.
So this transfer has been focused on the Book of Mormon. Our whole mission is going to read all of it in one transfer and we have to mark Jesus Christ and all of is names, mark whenever he speaks, and when ever you see a attribute of Christ. It has been supper awesome! I learn a lot every day. I forget how humble and grateful the prophets are and it reminds me how much god helps us in our trials.
Yesterday we had this appointment with 18 year old kid and his friend (What we do is a 30/30 program where we free talk in English with them so they can practice their English for 30 mins then for the next 30 mins we talk about the gospel and teach them) and he and his friend had no interest and we had them read the introduction and thats when it clicked they wanted take it. The Book of Mormon is such a powerful book. It is what our church is built on. If you want to know if our church is true you have to read the Book of Mormon. I testify that as you read the Book of Mormon and apply it to your life you will see more joy and receive blessings. So if you haven't read the Book of Mormon invite you to read it every day. You don't have to read a lot maybe just few verses. If you do you will know this is the true church. The restored church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

안양하새요!-Week7
This week was good. Elder Bednar came to Korea! That was awesome he just did a question and answer with our whole mission and it was good.
So I just want to explain a little bit about Korea's religions. There are so many christian churches here! You thought that road in Page called church road was crazy then Korea would blow you're mind! Every road is church road haha. So because of all these churches it gives our church a bad rep so people don't want to talk to us because some of the churches are... lets just say really interesting. Some people also thing our church is a cult here because we have our own book. So rumors kill.
Another thing I learned,I have been called to serve in a place were my language ability is limited. If I was speaking english then I would be way to bold and intense with people and scare them a way.
So I found this really cool kid on a bus coming to the church last week. we talked the whole way their. And when we both got of on the same stop right next to our church and his house was right next to the church. We called him on Saturday and met him that night and played some ping pong with him and talked to him and got to know him. Hes 18 and his mom is some sort of chirstan and his dad is budist. He can't really chose from budism or Christianity because is the grandma on his dads side will hate him. He doesn't want to believe in budism because he just doesn't think its true. So we taught him a little about the Book of Mormon. He says he really want to be a part of our church. So we invited him to come to church. So the next day (Sunday) he came over but he told us he can come in because his family doesn't want him coming to our church. I was so excited for him and everything because I found him and got a meeting with him all by myself.
Yesterday we had 2 investigators at church so that was awesome. We are getting baptismal dates for both of them this transfer so that will be sick.

안양하세요!- Transfer 1
안양하세요!
This is the end of transfer 1! I am now done with half my training! I feel like I just go here but its already over a month since I have been here. My companion said that it only gets faster which really scares me. I am loving this work so much!
So we have really turned this area around since I started here. We had no investigators when we started this transfer and now we have about 8. We didn't really have a relationship with the members when I got here and now we have a really good relationship.
Now we have a member at almost every lesson with our investigators. Our members are amazing so much better than I ever was. Yesterday (Sunday) our members did soo much missionary work it was amazing. We went on splits with members. I went with this bishopric guy named Kim hawk jay (김학자) and this old guy named brother Wong. We met with three less actives it was awesome! My companion also visited three less actives with his two members he split with. Our relationship with these members has grown so much since I first came. Kim Hawk Jay is a beast! He spent his whole Sunday doing what we do first he went to church then after that we visited with less actives (that's the split I was talking about) then after that he took us to his house to eat with his family. Then he came back to the church and taught a less with us and our investigator. We taught our investigator about the word of wisdom. He struggles with it super bad. Hes smoked since he was 15. He told us he really wants quit and smoking and drinking but its super hard. Koreans work soo hard that's why their is so much stress here and it has the highest suicide rate in the world. So people work all day and drink at night to wash it a way a let go. Its a super hard place to live. After we were done brother Kim Hawk Jay asked our investigator if he could give him a priesthood blessing. He said yes and me and Elder Lunt both put hands on his head and Brother Kim Hawk Jay gave him the blessing. It was so amazing. The best lesson I've had so far.
I am so thankful for the priesthood it is such a blessing to us all. Including non-members.

Earth quakes, Typhoons, and ISIS- Week 5
Sorry if my letter is short this week I don't have much time.
Korea has been crazy! A few days ago their was a typhoon that knocked down a bunch of trees and tore some roofs of houses. Then a few weeks ago there was a bombing attempt by ISIS in the Seoul airport but luckily because of how safe Korea is and slightly racist they are they took them down before anything happened.
| I took pictures for the sister and I took a selfie with one of their cameras. |
Yesterday I had a really good birthday! I got to watch general conference. It was amazing right? When I think of conference I think of King Benjamin and how he basically had a general conference haha. I really liked when Elder Hales said if we love the savior more we will suffer less. I always try to remember that the savior is with me and will help if I have faith in him and love him. Conference is such a great thing! We should and be excited to hear the apostles words because they are gods words.

Week 4
HI
I hope general conference was good. I am so excited to watch it but we have to wait a week because it needs to be translated.
This week has been super busy with meetings so we haven't got to proselyte. But we still met with our investigators. We see a miracle every time we meet with Brother Park (our investigator). Yesterday he came to church and we were in this gospel principle class and we were looking at the liahona (it a magazine that is combined with the enzyme, the friend, and new era) and he saw a picture in the kids section and was like look its the nephites and it was a picture of Lehi and his family getting of the boat when they come to the promised land. He also he randomly said I am going to quit drinking. We still haven't taught him about the word of wisdom. It made me so happy.
We set a baptismal date with him on October 16th. We have another new investigator who is 24 and has a wife and a little girl who is 3. That is super rare in korea. He is the funniest guy I love him. He is super interested in the Book of Mormon.
Last P day we went on a hike on this mountain that looks super awesome there are so many huge spiders every where in the forest. I love korea it so beautiful. I would never want to serve any other place. The people here are so awesome!
