마지막 주?

Hello!

This week was a good one. We are getting  fed a lot right now by members because the transfer is almost over. This week is the last week. It has flown by super fast! I have learned a lot from Elder Martin this transfer. It has been a blast serving with him. We think he might transfer sadly because he has been in this area for 7 months.

Yesterday was a really good day so I will let you all in on that! Yesterday the sisters had a baptism! It was really amazing to see how much she has changed as she took the lessons. I love seeing the conversion process and the new light that these people have. They have the light of Christ now. Because of this I was able to think about the covenants we make at baptism. I was able to ask myself if I was being a true follower of Jesus Christ. I still have a lot to go but I am so happy when I am trying be like Jesus Christ. I just want to share a scripture real quick. Mosiah 18:14-15

8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;

9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life

I know as we do these things we will find peace and happiness in our life here and in the next! I love you all! Have a great week!

이번 주

This week was pretty busy! We met with a less active who is amazing at English. He really like missionaries. We just go to know him and stuff this week and next week he told us he will tell us his life story and why doesn't attend church so that should be interesting. I am still searching the scriptures and praying to get some inspiration on what to share with him and how we can help him.

We also met with a investigator on Wednesday. His name is Sung Myounho. He has been meeting with the missionaries for about 3 years. I have really been pondering on how I can help him progress and how we can get him on the path way to baptism. I just want share some scriptures about preparing teach.

2 Now these sons of Mosiah were with Alma at the time the angel first appeared unto him; therefore Alma did rejoice exceedingly to see his brethren; and what added more to his joy, they were still his brethren in the Lord; yea, and they had waxed strong in the knowledge of the truth; for they were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God.

3 But this is not all; they had given themselves to much prayer, and fasting; therefore they had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when they taught, they taught with power and authority of God.

4 And they had been teaching the word of God for the space of fourteen years among the Lamanites, having had much success in bringing many to the knowledge of the truth; yea, by the power of their words many were brought before the altar of God, to call on his name and confess their sins before him.

I know as I prepare for my investigators the spirit can teach me and guide me. I know that you all can receive inspiration too as you read the scriptures and pray. I love you all. Have a great week.

One of the birthday cakes I received last week haha. I don't have a picture of the other one sorry.

나의 새일?

Hey everyone!

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Since in Korea has a different age system I have been older than 20 ever since I came here and I have forgotten my real age! ( Your age changes by the year so you don't get older until the the new year also in Korea when you are born you are 1 year old weird right? so when you are always 1 to 2 years older than you really are) And wow I am actually old!

This week was kind of crazy because of the the holiday! We had tons of appointments with members and ate tons of food! It was awesome!

Also yesterday we got to watch General Conference! It was really good we watched the Saturday sessions in English and Sunday sessions in Korean because some members from Uzbekistan came and used the computer to watch it in Russian. A talk I really like was a talk given by Richard J Maynes of the Area of the 70 in Priesthood session. I really like how he talked about integrity and earning Gods trust. Some thing I have learned is that everyone has God's love but not everyone has God's trust and we need to earn God's trust by being obedient to his commandments. I also loved Elder Hollands talk in the Saturday morning session we are not perfect and we should not beat our selves up. I really needed to hear that. I know that as we strive to be like Jesus Christ we will be more happy and the reward in the next life will be so great!

Thank you and I love you all!

추석! Happy Chusok!

Hey!

So this week is Chusok! Chusok is like Korean thanks giving and pretty Korea shuts down for a week to celebrate. Sadly this week there won't really be many people on the streets and most of our investigators will be doing something with family so our mission is going to do like a sports day with the other zones!

Anyway last week we tried out a new proselyting activity called 외국인 이겨라! (Beat the foreigners) So play like games with people on the street  the first one is call TANG SU YOOK. So the way you play is with 2 people. Person 1 starts by say TANG then person 2 says SU then person 1 says YOOK and they just keep going back and forth saying that until someone messes up. Then if they win they can go in to the next game which is arm wrestling and if they lose arm wrestling then we can introduce our family and show them our family pictures and tell them about why we came on a mission and the happiness we found through this church. If they win arm wrestling then they go to the next step which is who ever can eat these crackers things the fastest. Its kind of like the saltine challenge. and if they win they get candy and if we win we still do the same thing. It turned out really well got a lot of contacts and showed people that missionaries are normal people. Also now our arms are really sore.

Have a great week!
