Last Week

Hello!

So this past week was pretty eventful. I don't know why but at the end of transfers all the crazy stuff happens.

While we were basketball proselyting and the game was over we gave 3 of the people Book of Mormons and they might come to Family home evening tonight. We also have a new golden investigator. So he came to church not yesterday but the Sunday before and saw a girl get baptized. It was amazing he just randomly showed up to church. He came to church again yesterday.
I went on exchanges this week with this guy!
(Elder Lee) It a tradition to order chicken on exchanges.
He is a super nice guy he was always trying to help us. He helped set up chairs and hymn books. After Church and lunch (in all these korean wards and branches they have members bring food and have lunch together after church) we taught him the first lesson (The Restoration of the Gospel) with the Branch President. He seemed like he took all well. We gave him a Book of Mormon and invited him to baptism and hey said yes to both. I'm scared that I might get transferred.

Also yesterday a guy that we met on the street two weeks ago called us and wanted to meet us randomly. So when we met him he was with this lady that was a member of the catholic church he attends. When I saw this I thought "Ah dang we are about to get bible bashed so hard." I thought that because I have been bible bashed by ladies just like here all the time in my last area. But it turned out really well.
They didn't want to bible bash. They were actually super kind. We still taught them about the Book of Mormon and gave them both Book of Mormons. They were super nice about it and and acted really grateful. So we will see if they ever contact us again haha.

Hello!

This week we did a lot of street proselyting so we met some interesting people. Every night we some how found a bunch of old drunk guys. there was one last night that we asked if we could help him get home and so when we got him to the front door of his house he said "SANK YOU!" and gave me a hug and a big wet kiss on my cheek. So funny. We also did basketball proselyting on Saturday at this college near our house. Turned out super well. We got all of the guys numbers and got talk about religion and church with them. At first they were kind of distant but as we played they opened up a little more. I think the turning point was when I dunked it. After that I got super tight with all of them and they were super open to talk about anything. So next week on Saturday we are going to play with them again and then go eat with one of them named Kim Myoungjae.

So tomorrow I have to go stay the night at the mission home because my companion has to go do military training for the military reserve. There are a like 4 Korean missionaries that have to do this. About every 6 months. So when they do these training things they completely gear up and do a scenario. When I went on exchanges this week we were just walking on the street looking for people to teach and there was absolutely no one on the street. It was so weird it felt like the city was abandoned. We suddenly heard like air raid sirens go off and suddenly see a huge tank rolling down the street and these cops started yelling at us and said "what are you doing didn't you hear the military is doing training and you need to stay in you're house until 5 O clock?" haha it was crazy!

해로해로

Hello

This week was good. Pretty eventful. Went on 2 exchanges. The first one was on Tuesday with Elder Long.
It was super fun! He is from Hurricane. We knew a lot of the same people. So that was sweet. Then the second one was with a new Korean trainy his name Taehoon Kim. That one was fun as well I learned a lot. I had to do the 12 week program (a program that all the trainys have to do) with him and it was all in Korean so it was kind of scary but turned out really well. I found out I know more Korean than I thought I did.

This week should be could we got a lot of contacts last week so we should have a lot of good lessons and new investigators this week. I am super excited!

에수 그리스도의 대표자

Hello! Hope you all had a great week!

This week was super good! Got 4 new investigators this week that should be really good. 2 of them are pretty good at english so they love speaking to me in english. So our lessons are like have english and half korean. Kind of interesting. So one of them that we met on Saturday is some kind of Buddhist but is really open to our beliefs. I taught him the Plan of Salvation and he was like you know that makes sense haha. So nice to hear that because what I usually here after teaching the Plan of Salvation people usually are like "Well actually..." Haha I think this guy is pretty prepared. It is so great teaching him and seeing him come closer to Christ and Heavenly Father.

I am so happy to be a representative of Jesus Christ! I would not want to be anywhere, do anything else than doing this work!

Sorry no pictures this week we haven't gone to the island today yet so next week you will get to see some awesome ocean pictures.
